Claude can help write a LinkedIn post, but without a connector you still have to move that post into LinkedIn yourself. That usually means copying the text, fixing the formatting, checking whether it still sounds like you, and then scheduling it somewhere else.
A LinkedIn connector removes those extra steps.
Add the FeedBoss MCP server as a custom connector, and Claude can work with your FeedBoss voice profile, knowledge base, drafts, images, analytics, and schedule without leaving the chat.
This guide covers setup in Claude, Claude Code, and Cursor, how to manage several LinkedIn accounts from one connection, and how to fix common setup problems. The Claude steps follow Claude's own help center as of October 2, 2026.
Key takeaways
- The FeedBoss MCP server URL is https://server.feedboss.ai/api/v1/mcp.
- In Claude, paste that URL under Customize, then Connectors.
- Custom connectors work on every Claude plan. Claude Free allows one custom connector.
Does Claude Have a LinkedIn Connector?
Not one built in. Claude connects to outside tools through the Model Context Protocol, or MCP, an open standard that lets an AI assistant use tools from another app. So when someone says they are "connecting Claude to LinkedIn," they usually mean adding a connector from a service that already knows how to work with LinkedIn.
The type of connector matters because different tools reach LinkedIn in different ways:
- Session-based connectors: These tools may drive your logged-in browser or scrape LinkedIn pages.
- Official-API connectors: These tools use an app that has LinkedIn API access. You sign in, approve access, and the connected app works through LinkedIn's official API.
FeedBoss uses the official-API approach and does not scrape. With FeedBoss connected, Claude can:
- Draft a post in your voice
- Run a slop check
- Create an on-brand image
- Read how your posts performed
- Schedule to your LinkedIn profile after you approve
What You Need Before You Start
You need four things:
- A Claude account. Custom connectors work on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise. Claude Free allows one custom connector, so you may need to remove another connector first or upgrade Claude.
- A paid FeedBoss plan. Connecting an assistant is not included in the free trial.
- Owner or admin access to the FeedBoss workspace. Members cannot connect an assistant.
- A LinkedIn account connected in FeedBoss so scheduled posts have somewhere to go.
How to Connect Claude to LinkedIn, Step by Step
- Copy the FeedBoss MCP server URL
- Customize, then Connectors
- Add custom connector
- Approve on FeedBoss
- Ask Claude for a post
Step 1: Copy the FeedBoss MCP Server URL
Copy this URL, or find it in FeedBoss under Settings, then MCP Server:
https://server.feedboss.ai/api/v1/mcp
Keep the full /api/v1/mcp path.
Step 2: Open Customize, Then Connectors
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors. If you are on Team or Enterprise, an owner adds custom connectors under Organization settings, then Connectors.
Step 3: Add FeedBoss as a Custom Connector
Choose Add custom connector, name it FeedBoss, and paste the URL from Step 1. There is no API key or client secret to enter.
Step 4: Sign In to FeedBoss and Approve Access
Claude sends you to FeedBoss. Sign in, select the workspaces Claude is allowed to use, and approve the connection. The approval screen shows what you are granting, including:
- Reading the workspace
- Saving drafts
- Spending credits
- Scheduling posts
Step 5: Ask Claude for a LinkedIn Post
Start a new Claude chat and ask for a post about something real from this week. FeedBoss drafts using your voice profile and knowledge base instead of relying only on Claude's default style.
Your voice and a slop check, in the app or in Claude.
Start growing freeWhat Can You Ask Claude to Do After Connecting FeedBoss?
Once the connection is active, Claude can work with more than just text.
| Job | Try asking |
|---|---|
| Write | "Draft a post in my voice about the client call we just had. Use my knowledge base." |
| Check and edit | "Check this draft for slop and fix the two worst lines." "Read my latest draft back and tighten the opening." "Delete the draft about the conference." |
| Images | "Make an on-brand image for this post and attach it." "Attach these three image links as a swipeable post, with alt text for each." |
| Schedule | "Schedule it for Wednesday at 8:30am my time." "Move tomorrow's post to next Monday." |
| Learn | "Which of my last ten posts got the most comments?" "When have my posts done best?" "Am I on track for my posting goal?" |
Put together, those prompts replace a whole row of browser tabs.
Claude. LinkedIn. Notion. Canva. Calendar. Claude again.
One chat.
A few things are worth knowing before you use these actions.
Scheduling Asks First
Before FeedBoss schedules anything, you see a preview with the workspace, the LinkedIn account, the time, and the opening of the post. FeedBoss then asks for your approval.
Want the Post Live Now?
Schedule it a couple of minutes ahead. You can cancel the post any time before it goes out.
Credits
FeedBoss uses 5 credits to write a post and 25 credits to create a brand image, the same costs as in the FeedBoss app. Everything else mentioned here, including the slop check and analytics, is free.
Connect Claude Code, Cursor, and Other MCP Apps
The same FeedBoss server works with other apps that support remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in.
Claude Code
Run this command, then type /mcp inside Claude Code and sign in to approve the connection:
claude mcp add --transport http feedboss https://server.feedboss.ai/api/v1/mcp This is useful for building in public because you can turn something you just shipped into a LinkedIn post while the project context is still in your terminal.
Cursor
Add the following to .cursor/mcp.json inside your project, or to ~/.cursor/mcp.json if you want the connection available across all projects:
{
"mcpServers": {
"feedboss": {
"url": "https://server.feedboss.ai/api/v1/mcp"
}
}
} Then sign in when Cursor asks you to approve the connection.
ChatGPT
You do not need to paste the server URL into ChatGPT, because FeedBoss is available in ChatGPT's Plugins directory. See the LinkedIn plugin for ChatGPT guide for the setup steps. A few newer FeedBoss abilities, including images, editing drafts, and using several workspaces, already work in Claude and are pending OpenAI's review for the ChatGPT plugin.
Manage Several LinkedIn Accounts From One Connection
If you manage LinkedIn content for clients, teammates, or a co-founder, you can keep each person in a separate FeedBoss workspace and connect those workspaces through one Claude connection. Here is how it works:
- Choose the workspaces when you first connect. The approval screen lists every workspace where you are an owner or admin.
- Add or remove workspaces later under Settings, then MCP Server, in FeedBoss. You do not need to reconnect Claude.
- Name the workspace when you ask Claude to do something. For example: "Schedule this in the Acme workspace."
- If your request could apply to more than one workspace and you do not name one, Claude will ask which workspace you mean.
- Every request is checked against the workspaces you approved, your role, and the workspace plan.
- If you lose admin access to a workspace, Claude loses access to that workspace on its next request.
- Team approvals still apply. A post waiting in a workspace's approval queue cannot be scheduled from Claude.
Troubleshooting the Claude to LinkedIn Connection
The Approval Screen Shows the Wrong Workspaces
The screen shows the workspaces that belong to the FeedBoss account currently signed in to that browser. Sign out of FeedBoss, sign in with the correct account, and connect again.
Claude Says "Available on a paid plan"
That FeedBoss workspace does not have a paid plan. Upgrade that workspace or connect a different paid workspace.
You Cannot See the Option to Connect
Only FeedBoss owners and admins can connect an assistant. Ask the workspace owner to connect it or change your role to admin.
Sign-In Worked, but Claude Says the Connection Failed
Check the server URL. It must end in /api/v1/mcp. A bare https://server.feedboss.ai address will not connect, even if sign-in succeeds.
Opening the MCP URL in a Browser Shows an Error
That is expected. The server is designed for MCP apps, and those apps send POST requests after you sign in.
Is It Safe to Connect Claude to LinkedIn?
The safest setup is one that uses LinkedIn's official API rather than your logged-in browser session. With an official-API connector such as FeedBoss, you stay in control at three points:
- You approve the initial connection and choose which workspaces Claude can use.
- Claude can be configured to ask before using a tool that changes something.
- FeedBoss asks for your approval before anything is scheduled and posts only to your personal profile.
The main risk comes from session-based connectors. LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits using "bots or other unauthorized automated methods" to create, like, or share posts, and the most popular open-source LinkedIn MCP server, which works through a logged-in session, warns in its own README that accounts can be restricted or banned.
A simple way to identify a session-based connector is to check what it asks from you. If it asks for your LinkedIn password or session cookie, it is working through your account session rather than an official app sign-in. Our LinkedIn MCP server comparison groups the main options by exactly this difference.
To disconnect FeedBoss, open Settings, then MCP Server, in FeedBoss, or remove the connector in Claude. Claude loses access to the workspace on its next request, and drafts that were already created remain in FeedBoss.
Conclusion
Adding a LinkedIn connector to Claude takes about a minute. Copy the FeedBoss MCP server URL, add it under Customize, then Connectors, approve the workspaces Claude is allowed to use, and ask Claude for a LinkedIn post.
From there, every draft can use your own voice and knowledge base, go through a slop check, and reach your schedule only after you approve it. For more detail, see the guides on AI slop and the best time to post on LinkedIn, or the Connected Assistants page.
Write it, check it, and schedule it, without leaving the chat.
FAQs
1. Is there an official LinkedIn connector for Claude?
Claude does not include one, and we found no LinkedIn-published server in the official MCP registry when we checked on October 2, 2026. To connect Claude to LinkedIn, you need a connector from a service that can work with LinkedIn, such as FeedBoss.
2. Can I connect Claude to LinkedIn on Claude's free plan?
Yes. Claude Free allows one custom connector, which is enough for FeedBoss. You still need a paid FeedBoss plan because connecting an assistant is not included in FeedBoss's free trial.
3. Can Claude post to LinkedIn without my approval?
FeedBoss asks first. There is no way for Claude to publish instantly through FeedBoss, so every post is scheduled, and before anything is scheduled, FeedBoss shows a preview and asks for your approval. You can cancel any scheduled post before it goes out. Claude can also be configured to ask your permission before it runs a tool that changes something.
4. Can Claude post to a LinkedIn company page?
Not through FeedBoss. Posts scheduled from Claude go to your personal LinkedIn profile.
5. Is FeedBoss in Claude's connector directory?
Not yet. For now, add FeedBoss as a custom connector using its MCP server URL. The setup takes about a minute and works on every Claude plan that supports custom connectors.
